LofaBed Grand Prix


I invented the LofaBed back in 1996, and used to have dealers in the U.S. northeast until the factory that made the LofaBed for me sold their business to the current factory. Who doesn’t believe in offering credit…which is why we have no dealers outside of Québec.  The largest of these retailers was Rockaway Bedding, who used to have some 300 stores in the Philadelphia/NYC corridor…before they went bankrupt!  All of whom carried the LofaBed.  So every once in a while I hear from one of Rockaway’s customers. Usually it’s about a broken hinge, or a missing button, or something like that.  But yesterday I was floored to receive the following email from one Amy Clowers:

I purchased a LofaBed six years ago.  Every time my family comes for a visit, they fight over who gets to sleep on it!  I love it.

Now just think about this for a second.  This woman, who doesn’t know me from Adam, writes a testimonial letter…OUT OF THE BLUE…telling me how much she STILL loves this sofa-bed after SIX YEARS of use!!! What would motivate a person to do that?  Could it be that she’s just so thrilled to have a product that actually lives up to its reputation that she felt COMPELLED to tell someone?  I dunno, but if I ever find out, I’m gonna BOTTLE IT!
